How do you enable two-factor authentication to protect your Plesk interface?

Enable two-factor authentication

  1. Log in to your Plesk interface with your existing credentials
  2. Click on the "Google Authenticator" button in the menu on the right
  3. Select the "Enable multi-factor authentication" box
  4. Scan the QR code that appears with the two-factor authentication application of your choice, e.g., Google Authenticator, 1Password, Bitwarden, or any other compatible application
  5. Enter the 6-digit code generated by your application in the "verification code" field and press "OK."

The next time you log in to Plesk, you will need to enter your username, password, and the 6-digit code generated by your application. Please note that the 6-digit code is valid for 30 seconds only.


Disable two-factor authentication

  1. Log in to your Plesk interface with your existing credentials
  2. Click on the "Google Authenticator" button in the menu on the right
  3. Uncheck the "Enable multi-factor authentication" box
  4. Press "OK."

Two-factor authentication is now disabled and you will only need to enter your username and password to access Plesk.


Enable two-factor authentication on the client area
